Our History

Calvary Chapel Tomahawk began on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Before starting Calvary Chapel Tomahawk, Fred Drephal and his wife, Debbie attended Calvary Chapel Appleton, where he was on the worship team until moving to their family homestead in Irma, Wisconsin. Our prayers being that we could plant a Calvary Chapel in Tomahawk one day. Knowing the calling of God on his life, Fred opened their home for a home fellowship bible study, meeting on Thursday Nights. The fellowship started in the fall of 2022 with the Book of Revelation. A time later, Calvary Chapel Tomahawk church began to meet publicly in the Tomahawk Senior Community Center.

As we have been blessed by God’s provision to meet our physical needs for a place to meet, our focus continues to remain on the spiritual growth and maturity of the members of this fellowship, while reaching out with the truth of God’s word to those in our community. We praise God for His faithfulness and His hand on us as we remain steadfast in the teaching of His word, chapter by chapter and verse by verse, allowing the Holy Spirit to mature, teach, lead and guide each of us.
